MCO Conductor

Witold Dobrzynski

The Melbourne Community Orchestra is lead by it's new Music Director, Maestro Witold Dobrzynski (pronounced  Veetold Dobe-Juinskee).

Maestro Dobrzynski is a native of Gdynia, Poland.  He attended the Warsaw Nationale Conservatory of Music and studied piano, cello and conducting.  Maestro was assistant conductor of opera and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lodz, Poland, while competing in conducting throughout Europe.  Further study in conducting was done at the Conservatoire Nationale Superieur de Musique in Paris while performing as a pianist and conductor at the Theatre de Paris. He now resides in Palm Bay Florida, after living in Chicago for twenty years where he was a church organist and choir director. 

Maestro Dobrzynski accepted the position of Music Director and Conductor of the MCO in February 2000.
