The Melbourne Community Orchestra, an affiliate of the Space Coast Pops, is presenting its " DOKTOBERFESTA" Concert at 7:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, October 24 and 25, 2001 in the Melbourne Auditorium at 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd.
Conducted by Maestro Witold Dobrzynski, the Orchestra will perform several selections of classical music plus a variety of very contemporary popular songs. The theme DOKTOBERFESTA is an acrostic derivation of the first or first few letters of each of the compositions selected to be the program.
Those selections are Danse Macabre, OKlahoma, Tannhäuser, OBERon Overture, Favorites of Leroy Anderson, Evita, STar Wars and A Salute to the Big Apple. This tells the story of the program. Robert Bauer October 2001
